The Wright-Fisher application animates the random sampling os genes under the discrete Wright-Fisher model and it is possible to track the number of descendant genes as well as the ancestry of genes in the final generation.

The Hudson application animates the coalescent process in continuous time. The basic coalescent process as well as the coalescent with recombination, coalescent with growth, coalescent with subdivision and coalescent with selection can be studied, tracking the time and type of events as well as their consequences to the coalescent tree.
