The web page philosophy is simplicity.
This is partly driven by the fact that I have to do all the maintenance.
Since I have plenty of other things to do, the web-site is without fancy
graphics, buttons, bells, whistles and what nots.
The main objective of this site is to provide two features:
- Allow people who have bought the book(s) to obtain an up-to-date list
of errors and corrections
- Giving a taste of what the book(s) contain before rushing out to buy one
;-)
I have deliberately not put exercise material in the book, as it tends
to be software and hardware dependent, and I did not want the book to become
a "How to use software xxx" manual. Furthermore, software and hardware
change every few years, and exercise material would rapidly become outdated.
